QUILT VIDEO

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Solutions- OZARK MISSOURI

Thought I would show off a couple of my quilts-  I ran across an old commercial that our son Jesse shot for a school project.  If I remember correctly he received an "A".

Hubby didn't want to wear PJ's for the video and I refused to be filmed in my birthday suit.  This is one of the few times I won the discussion. (yeah me)

These quilts are from my personal collection at the time.  Many have been given away.  I still have a few saved back for the kids.  My stash is over flowing and hopefully there will be many more fabric beauties in my future.

ENJOY the show!

While I am at it, consider this an invitation to join the Quilter/Crafters group.  I would like to see the artisans in the rain have a place to show case area events and talents.-  be good  cw

VERY COOL!!!  What a fun video! My mom made her first quilt, as a little southern girl at the age of 3, so she says.  She is an amazing seamstress, so I don't doubt her! Do you have one of those computerized quilting machines? Sister/Brother -in-law have one they love!

Cheryl M--I do have an old singer on a 14 ft frame that I can border to border machine quilt.  I DON'T work for the public but will do a few here and there for family and friends.  We have a church group that I teach and encourage to make donation quilts.  We made a few for our local fire-station.  Mostly we just have fun getting together and do a couple of projects a year.  I was kinda suprised to see some of the quilts in the video- I had to think hard to remember who has them now.

Wow!  Both yours and your son's work is terrific!  It's so interesting how the background keeps changing behind the figures of you and your husband.  Kudos to you both!

Lisa- thanks, I like to make utility pieces that can be used for a long time.  Do you quilt?

Dianne- this was a fun project to work on.  The background was 'shot', quilts changed out etc.... then Carl and I did our walk-thru.  The Kid is pretty talented and his current work is really good (IMHO).  He has been doing local commercials in Chicago and other stuff while finishing college.

Hi Cheryl, No I don't quilt but I do love them. I respect the hard work involved, the personal creativity, and the beauty of the end product.

Not a real person
San Diego, CA

My wise old grandmother used to make quilts for all sorts of occasions -- births, marriage, high school graduation, first communion, college graduation, etc. Almost all of us still have the quilts she made for us. They were nothing special per sé, certainly not anything exotic like some of these quilts at the quilt shows, but each one had a special something in it for the person for whom it was created. Not to mention Grandma's special love and touch.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life -- make it a good start.

There is that something extra when one makes a gift by hand.  I don't get to sew as much as I would like to but still get a couple of dozen made each year.  I am glad to hear that you all enjoy grandma's efforts.  be good  cw
