Virtual World of Selling Real Estate on Second Life....I'm in...are you???

By
Real Estate Agent with Lake & Land Realty

OK! Let me break this down for you. I first heard about Second Life in 2007 and thought yeah right me a Avatar. I'm a successful Realtor and a mother of two children and married to a great man and not to mention I'm 35 years old...a little past the virtaul world of Avatars and games!! Then I saw a show on CSI or one of those crime shows that talked about Second Life...got my wheels to turning again. I'm now proud to say that I'm a Avatar and have been for sometime. I have trouble sometimes with my outfits but I end up looking like Zena the Warrior..heehee!! I love meeting the other agents and meeting people from my community. There is a few places that I choose not to fly to but for the most part I'm all over the place. Did run into a seedy place at one point and backed out very casually but for the most part I LOVE THIS NEW VIRTUAL WORLD!!! In case you have not noticed alot of the top companies are in the virtual world. Just check it out and see if you like it! It has paid off for me!!

Hello Linda,

Dont feel bad I was way behind the times when I first heard of Second Life. I actually had a client that called me one night to check on a home that I was scheduled to show him that weekend and he put me on hold for a few minutes and I could hear him talking to somebody and he had told me he was alone...so I just asked did he need to go because company had come to visit and he laughed and said "No that was my boss talking to me in Second Life I'm a Avatar". I said "oh ok" and hung up and wondered if I should get someone to go to the showing with me because he sounded WACKED!!! Well we laugh about that but I have had a blast. The best thing to do to learn about Second Life is go to their site and look around www.secondlife.com. If you still need help let me know. I still dont know everything but I do know that it has been a blast and I meet future clients there!!
