Real Estate Agent with Lake & Land Realty

Hello Again Tonight!! Ok I have been slammed with emails wanting to know some more advice and tips. This is my last blog for tonight and then I'm crashing. LOL

As a Realtor I look for avenues to keep my name and face out there in the community. Some I have to pay for and some are given to us FREE...so what would the excuse be not to take advantage of them?

Number one example: FACEBOOK

If you are not already on Facebook you need to be there asap. I dont mean sign up and leave picture empty or overlook creating your profile or let it sit idle. I have not been a member of Facebook for very long but as you can see I have already obtained a lead. 100% that they will buy in the next two months!! I pay the agent a 20% referral fee. Still 75% left for me!!

But wait a minute.....how much did that cost me?????? FREE!!!!!

And most of all it is a way to also keep in touch with friends and family daily. I have made Facebook a must do in my everyday routine for real estate.

Have fun!! What are you waiting for????? www.facebook.com

Congrats, Catina! That's wonderful news. How long have you been on Facebook?  I have not signed up on Facebook yet.  The bulk of my leads come through my own website, so I have been thinking about revamping it.

Catina- it's interesting that you just blogged about this.  I just signed up for Facebook yesterday.  A friend encouraged me to sign up.  I have already reconnected with a few friends from way back.  It's an awesome way to stay connected.  Good luck on your lead.

Kristal, I'm just amazed at the amount of activity on Facebook. I always knew that I should turn to the "cyberspace world" and do more and become more involved but I tell you this just has blown my mind. It's almost to much to take in. If I have any referrals for your area I will send them your way!! Thanks, Catina

Hello Sherry, About a year ago I had a Facebook page that had no picture, no profile and no info. I was preaching to myself in that blog because I went in and deleted the old account and started a new one about 3 weeks ago and I'm loving it! It just needs to be worked like any other lead or website. You can connect or reconnect with past friends and family members easy. I have made that a part of my daily to do's for real estate. Good Luck and look me up when you get there!!

Congrats on the referral, Catina! You make an excellent point that applies to any social networking site -- it's not enough just to set up a profile, you have to participate.

Nice going, Catina!  I'll have to "Find Ya On The Face" lol.  So far it has been more fun than useful, but I do need some fun along the way...

Joan, Once you get up and running it's easy....I promise. What is so time consumming is setting these sites up. I still feel really really lost on AR because I'm a newbie and I do mean newbie. What I did was I sat aside 1 hour a day for one week and did one website at a time. Now to keep those sites fresh it takes minutes a day!! I look at this as planting my seeds for the future client. It is really paying off though a little sooner than I thought!! Just get started and you will have fun and produce leads.

Kent,

That is exactly what I thought also. So wrong though. You are appearing to have fun and you are but what you are doing is letting all of your friends and family know that you are still out there and working. You will be amazed at your friends who just dont remember that you are a Realtor. Good Luck and keep having FUN!!!

HI Catina, thanks for the FaceBook tips.  I have a facebook profile, you are welcome to connect with me.  I also use Linked In, and would love to connect with you there too.

May I ask what techniques you use to get your facebook business?  I've been on there for a while, and no leads yet.

Hi Catina, thanks for the inspiration.  I was just on the site early today but did not set up my profile.  I will make sure I get that done tomorrow.  Best of luck on the lead.
