What are you thankful for??? Here's 15 off the top of my head:
1. Ticky-Tac- I have never known the exact name for this stuff, but it’s that gummy stuff that you use for a gazillion different things. I am so thankful for ticky-tac because I put it on the corners of art-work I hang so that it won’t shift back and forth as a breeze blows or even if someone knocks into it. It’s fabulous for keeping artwork and photos strait!
2. Downy Wrinkle Reducer- I hate ironing with a fiery passion. I love wrinkle reducer with the same fiery passion. It’s a life saver and it stays in my trunk.
3. My little Tomato-Strait Pin holder – Whoever invented this is a genius. Pure genius. If you have every tried to fish a strait pin out of a haystack of pins in one of those clear/black plastic containers, you know exactly what I am talking about. Ouch!
4. No-Slip pads – A rug is just not a rug without a no-slip pad underneath it. I am so thankful for these. They keep your rugs in place and you don’t have to worry about them slip-sliding around.
5. Glass Cleaner – I have officially decided that you can clean just about anything with glass cleaner in a pinch.
6. My Woman-Sized drill pack – My father-in-law bought me this and it stays in my trunk as well. A re-chargeable mini drill with a ton of bits to choose from. It’s wonderful and makes me feel like Tim, The Tool Man, Taylor when I have to pull it out!
7. Faux Green Apples – Instantly add a touch of organic-feel to any home on the market as a centerpiece or item in the kitchen…without worrying about fruit flies.
8. Temporary Paper Shades – Perfect for that newly constructed home with nothing on the windows. These are great for adding a private and intimate feel.
9. My old-school Electrolux vacuum cleaner – Nothing gets hard surface floors cleaner than my ancient Electrolux vacuum cleaner (except it’s not so easy to carry around).
10. My “Fabric Fresh” carpet and upholstery spray – I have no clue where to buy this (inherited a few bottles from a friend), but it’s the best fabric-fresh stuff out there. I will be so sad when I run out.
11. Gorilla Glue – Enough said.
12. My mom’s sewing machine – I don’t know that I could correctly sew a button on a shirt (pathetic, I know). I am so thankful for mom and her sewing machine.
13. Paint – I am so thankful for paint. It’s so versatile and can instantly change the look of a room without spending a fortune.
14. My husband’s flair for home-staging – I am not sure if it is completely “there” yet, but he sure is close and it’s so very endearing to see him try.
15. Forward-thinking and “big-picture” homeowners, builders and real estate agents – I appreciate you all! Without you, the staging business just wouldn’t make a lick of sense.
Aloha Amber,
Great list to be thankful for. I was very thankful for Gorilla Glue until two days ago when my dog pulled it out of my work bag and started chewing up the bottle. I was very lucky and thankful that she brought it to me just as the glue was oozing all over her and the house. Happy Thanksgiving!
Peace,
Amber~ Love the list! If I can add, I would say Clear Plastic Bins! Have a great Thanksgiving and thanks for sharing.
GREAT LIST !!!
My knees are thankful for carpet samples and disposable tupperware-type containers....
we cut up the carpet samples into squares and place them face-down under heavy furniture feet to slide it around on hardwood. W slip the containers under furniture legs for moving over carpet. We have a set for every car, the truck , and if we lose them, we can always get more!
AND MAGIC ERASERS!!!! I practically sleep with mine, I love it so much.

Gorilla Glue......YES!! I use it for just about everything, but my favorite story doesn't involve staging or home repair at all. A few years ago, my daughters and I had just arrived in Clearwater Beach for a long girls weekend of fun. My youngest promptly broke her glasses! I walked to a CVS and bought a bottle. Weekend saved!
Great list all around!
I love it that your husband is a "stager" too!
Gorilla Glue and Magic Erasers are priceless!
I'm thankful for my furniture slides and brown sharpie markers (to hide scratches and dings on furniture and cabinets).
Great list Amber and I am thankful for all those things as well. I LOVE Gorilla Glue! I actually have a very cool metal belt and once when it dropped the very cool buckle fell off as it was welded on. I wasn't sure what to do but tried the Gorilla Glue on it and lo and behold it worked!
