I wanted to thank Karen Donovan from Largo, Fl for giving me a referral, of her clients coming to Jacksonville to buy a home! I met the clients 24 days ago for a LONG weekend of showing them homes all over jacksonville. THey were relocating, so we spent 10 hours looking at different areas, and many homes. The second day, we spent about 3 hours looking at afew more and a 2nd showing of the top 2.
Today, we just closed on their home. Or should I say...."I" just closed on their home. The clients did a mail away, and I did the walk thru of a builder inventory home....and I did the Final walkthru of the home today and I went to the title company and got the keys, papers, etc. and dropped them off at the home.
Now for the fun part. I got them a Mailbox as a closing gift, since the builder did not include one?! I left a few goodies to welcome them when they get to their home!! I put flowers in a vase, got a Basket from the Dollar store, with two finger towels for Thanksgiving, filled the basket with goodies, snacks, etc for the kids for moving in day, and left a pumpkin pie for them, with bottle waters in the refrigerator!! Oh, and I put a Holiday Red bow on the mailbox!
Oh, and When the superintendent walked me around the house, explaining everything about the home...I had a tape recorder with me, that I recorded him, and left that on the counter too! Now, they heard eveything he had to say, and they weren't even there!
I can't wait to see their faces when the kids see all the snacks in the home!! They are going to love their new home.
It's SOOOO MUCH fun to help buyers buy a new home. I did work harder than normal for this transaction, because they weren't here at all, and I was their eyes and ears for every step of the way!!
