The day before Thanksgiving and all through the house not an appointment was granted not even for a CASH Buyer.......

This is nuts......I have bee trying to make appointments since Tuesday afternoon for a Client wishing to get a jump on the holiday long weekend and see some homes.

To date I have made 7 call for appointments........I have had 6 NO's and 1 yet to return my call. This Buyer is buying with almost cash, 50% down on a $300k house and no sale of home to worry about......HELLO!

I understand the need for family and if you are hosting Thanksgiving at your home, the need to clean....yet we wanted to go and be out before Noon......am I crazy or what?

Hmm...you actually have humans living in your potentials? I'm setting appts. now for a run on bank owned homes, I doubt we'll see another live person (unless it's another agent and buyer) in 7-10 properties...

That's amazing! I can't believe anyone would say no to a potential showing in this market! Heck, my house always looks much better around the holidays. Smells better too if I'm baking. If I were selling my house and you wanted to come during TG dinner, I'd have extra plates available. I can't believe the listing agents haven't forced the sellers to show.

Dan, I had two listings expire yesterday as they didn't want to be bothered with showings over the holidays. Last year I had two good closings in November had money in my pocket and decided to play with the rest of the world over the holiday. Lesson learned...I can promise you I will personally be working just as hard if not harder on my marketing strategies over the winter this year.

I try to keep the intrusion to the mid morning hours as to not upset late sleepers and gone before the day gets too far along.
