This is NOT April Fools Day or Halloween, it's Thanksgiving!

Sometimes it is very difficult to get the entire family together.  Then when they are all in one place, you have to deal with the family dynamics.  My pre-Thanksgiving day ended with me crying like a baby,

I have three children, two of which live in Arizona and the third lives in Chicago.  Earlier this year my children decided that they should start spending each Thanksgiving together as a family

Mind you, my children all have various political beliefs.   All three decided not to discuss politics at any time and just enjoy each others company.

Today my children, invited me to join them for lunch.  I was having a hectic day, floor duty in the morning and a listing in the afternoon but I made time and joined them at a local restaurant in Surprise.  We ordered, ate and all had a pleasant uneventful meal. I just sat on the sidelines watching and hoping that all would be ok and no one would begin a political discussion

WOW! Finally the kids are grown and as a mom I could only observe them talk to one another with kindness and respect.  The bill arrived, was paid, then we all proceeded to our cars.

I have a 2008 Mercedes.  It is the first brand new car that I have purchased in years and I still park it far away parking lots to avoid dings, scratches and scrapes.  I even meticulously record the license plate number of any car close by.   With a joyful heart, I walk with my three children to my car.  BUT it is not there!  I am frantically looking everywhere!  My beautiful brand new black baby was not in the space that I parked it in!

My daughter suggested that perhaps we need to make a police report.  A POLICE REPORT!  No! Not my baby.   Then I placed my face in my hands....it was time for me to do some quick thinking.  Through the holes between my fingers I could see my children smiling.  I wonder what they are up to as I continued with my hands over my face.

My children, looked at one another then they all tried to calm me down.  My son says, mom, I think you parked it somewhere else.  No, I parked it right here!  Then my daughter says, but I see it over there - three lanes over and about 100 yards away parked next to a humongous truck. .... I knew that I had been had!  I have never  parked my baby next to a truck!

What gives?  Then I realized that one of them must have moved my car when I was in the restroom.

My three babies who are now grown adults played a joke on me.  I  got hugs from all of them, then hopped into my little black (hot year round) Mercedes and kissed my three children good night since they were off to see a spooky movie.

Thanksgiving DayThey have jobs, respect each other, are healthy, have loving relationships and they love their mom.  What more can I ask for?

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I give thanks to God that I have a beautiful family who love me and for the clients He has brought into my life.  I truly feel blessed.

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving Day!
