Volunteer Fire Departments Are Awsome

By
Real Estate Agent with BCR Realtors 262359

Rural Communities are very dependent on volunteer fire departments for fire protection. These departments are often limited in equipment and dollars, but many of them make up for those problems with great effort and courage. Located between Hearne and  Wheelock, Texas on FM 391 is the Blackjack Volunteer Fire Department.  This department has done a great job of protecting the area it serves in Robertson County .

TREY, I wouldn't even consider us rural any longer but we are still dependent on volunteer fire departments.  What would we do without them!!!

Trey, I am very familiar with these and we have a great one nearby in one of my towns, Highland Village. The volunteers do a terrific job.

Great Picture, Trey. Looks just like our fire barn except ours wasn't a snappy red.

My Dad and brother served on our volunteer fire dept in the small town I grew up in.

My Dad always said: The Fire Dept never lost a house foundation yet. (kidding, of course, our foundations are cement or cement blocks)

That is funny about the foundations...I need to remember that.

We try and help our fire departments as much in funding as we can. They are never appreciated till someone needs them.
