Prayers to Those Affected By The Mumbai Terrorism

Real Estate Agent with Real Estate Professionals

I just want to express my heartfelt sympathy to the families and friends of the innocent people gunned down in the ongoing tragedy in Mumbai, India.

As a cable news addict, I get a daily dose of the harsh realities of our world, both at home and internationally, and I always try to put myself in the shoes of the victims to understand what they have gone through.

While we suffer an economic crisis at home and muse over our politicians' gaffs (sp.) it puts it all in perspective during the Thanksgiving weekend that we must treasure what we have, our health and the health of our families.  It can indeed be snatched in an instant from our grasps.

Enjoy your life and your friends and your family today!

Troy, there was a local family in Wisconsin who were watching the Mumbai attacks, how terrible.  Our prayers go out to them.

My sister in law has friends in Mumbia but she doesn't know if they were involved. Thanks for the post.

Thanks, Troy.

We really do need to be grateful for the security we do have. There are so many places in the world where you cannot count on the the rule of law.

I posted a comment on this as well.

Bob, I read your insightful related blog and left a comment.  Thanks for your input, and I pray for a safe return for your son from Afghanistan.

Darrell, thanks for your comment also.  I have several state-side friends and clients from India but I don't know if their friends or families were affected either.

Karen, I ask myself that often, "what has this world come to".  I could go on for days on my conclusions, but for now, I just hope the world's leaders wake up and start really working together in the best interests of peace-loving people.

Troy- I know it is so hard to even watch the event as it was first broadcasted on TV, to witness such fear and utter terror. I can not imagine what it would  be like to actually be a victim in such a sad, tragedy. I also pray for peace.

We are grateful not to be affected.  However, we really need to hope and pray that God protects our family and our country.  It's overwhelming this world that we've seen change so rapidly lately.

It's horrible how many innocent people have died in these attacks.  Very sad for them and their families.  It really makes you grateful for how secure our country actually is.

Karen, Larry & Kim... Thanks for your comment. I have to disagree with Kim though, because the unfortunate reality is that we really are not much more secure in terms of a group carrying out an attack like that one in the U.S.  Sad to say, but if a group had the motivation to do so, we could be looking at the same type of terror.  Look at the Oklahoma City incident from the previous decade.  I think the key is to suppress the "freedom" of terror groups to operate and grow within our borders and have strong border security so that outside groups can't get in.
