Green Alert: Lawn clippings can replace 11-15% of America's Fuel Requirements

Just finished listening to David Blume's interview on Coast to Coast.  You can listen to the audio here:

Alcohol Can Be A Gas.

A lot of interesting facts, stats, myths and mis-direction are presented and uncovered.

One item I found of particular interest is that America has about 30,000,000 acres in the production of LAWNS.

The clippings from those lawns during growing season, if taken and processed for alcohol production, would Jugreplace about 11-15% of our total annual fuel requirements in the country!   No gene-splicing, no synthetic fuel manufacturing.  Just straight up "White Lightnin'".

Love him or hate him, Obama's election will bring attention to the alternative fuels frontiers.  Watch what the "Big Boys" are going to do about our energy requirements.  They will take approaches that can be patented in order to maintain a stranglehold on world energy production.

Also, be very very leary of any government subsidies, tax credits or manipulation in green fuel production.  Everything that has been done going back to the '70s first oil "crisis" has done nothing but benefit Big Oil by using farmers as window dressing.

In addition to building super efficient green homes, I am also invested in a bio-diesel plant in East Texas.  There are no tax credits for producing 100% biod-diesel at the federal level.  The only time a credit is given is when it is mixed with PETROLEUM.

The best thing Congress can do when it comes to alternative fuel production is to take all regulations, incentives, taxes and credits off of naturally produced fuels (not drilled or refined from petroleum, or gentically modified for patent purposes) and let Americans do what we do best, PRODUCE!  And when I say take all taxes off, I'm referreing to income, SSN, employment, etc.  No taxes of any nature to be levied on income derived from natural fuel production. Then stand back and watch what happens.  We'll be self sufficient in five years!

Please, don't just read this and move on.  Post a comment of your support and your suggestions and ideas, get on the alert list for Big Oil shenanigans at Alcoholcanbeagas.com, and drop me a line if you're interested in learning how you can take direct, positive steps to turn this country around NOW!  Not as a government, but as united citizens.

Looks like we're headed  back to $150/bbl as early as January, March for sure.

Any time you want my lawn clippings, just come and get them. Of course you will have to cut them yourself! The lawn mower is in the garage!

Cheryl,

Fantastic on your electric bills.  However, you can't just give us your final numbers.  Spill the beans.  How'd you accomplish that?

I'm sure many here would like to know.

Mike, I've seen information on switchgrass as well. I would be fine with your no tax proposal. If the government will get out of the way the American people will figure it out.

The oil producers, particularly the foreign producers want to keep us addicted.

If we can get enough of us lobbying Congress for this approach, we will be a BIG winner.
