Lily ON Pond

Sometimes when I don't feel like writing or reading I love looking through my photographs; and now I realize how important it is to make a notation of where the shots were taken.  This particular shot of the Lily Pond, I am almost positive was taken in Massachusetts but I am not sure if it was in Stockbridge or Williamstown on my visit to the Clark Museum.

Jennifer, I so much like the peacefulness of your lily pond. It is one of the BEST photographs I have seen posted on Active Rain. You should do more of these.

Jennifer good suggestion, I have the same problem with not remembering where I take picture, and especially the year.

Jennifer you take very good pictures. Are you a photographer? I definitely have to get that camera that you use. I know you told me once but I forgot. Have a great weekend. Great post.

Gary thank you, I really love the fact that this shot was appreciated, I loved it and that is why I shared it.

Yvette - That entire setting was just lovely.

Carolyn - I will.

George I have so many pictures that I can't remember where they were taken.  I could start a new contest name this place...lol

Lynda - I couldn't agree more.

Lanre - I love taking shots, if that makes me a photographer then I guess I am.

LOL I have done the same thing - I think while I'm taking the picture that of COURSE I'll remember where it was taken....bzzzt!  Some of my kids pictures, I don't even know which kid it is!  (can't even tell by the clothes cause a lot of them were passed from kid to kid, LOL)

Yes, TAKE NOTE OF THAT PIC!  LOL

That's the problem with digital cameras.  It's so dang easy to see something and just stop to take the picture.  Later it can be tough to remember where it was taken.  I've found that when I take a picture like that, it's good to also write all the details on a sheet of paper in large letters and then take a picture of that also.  Stays with the picture and helps me remember when and where.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I kind of felt like pictures today, too, but the camera on my cell phone blanked out when I tried to snap our snowcapped mountains as I was out for my hike.

Joan that is how I felt when I came across it.

Karen that is so funny but I know exactly what you mean.

Gita - you are welcomed

Erby that is a great suggestion especially if it is a real special shot.

Ann isn't that usually the case.  The worst is going to take pictures of a property and the batteries in the camera dying.

Looking through old photographs is great to remind yourself of the fantastic places you've been and seen.  The tranquility of some of the places we have all been are very relaxing to think about.

What a beautiful Lily pond.  I bet you enjoyed that visit there.  So pretty.  And the building is awesome.  Looks like quite a bit of marble used in it.
