Downtown Franklin, TN - Pretty as a Picture...

The city of Franklin, TN was founded in 1799 and was named after Benjamin Franklin. Long the county seat of Williamson County TN, Franklin, TN is richly steeped in history and tradition. What I like about this town is that, today, it is a unique blend of the old and the new. The old downtown section, is much like it was at the turn of the century. One can walk down the sidewalks and browse in the stores along Main Street and feel like you have stepped back in time. I especially like this time of the year when the city gets all decked out for the Christmas Holiday Season. I got out early this morning as dawn was breaking and took some pix of the downtown section...
Hope that you enjoy...

What a charming town.  I have been to Nashville on business from my prior life and I think we were also in Franklin, but we missed seeing the downtown.

It matters to us as much as it matters to you.

Fantastic photo as usual Michael!  I noticed the lights as I drove home last night, but didn't have my camera ready.  You captured the perfect time of day to catch the glow of our fair city.

Hi Michael,

Great photo, nice that you were up and at um before the sun came up. I always enjoyed the old town atmosphere. Only thing missing in your photo is a little snow.

Michael,

It looks great, like Pleasantville. Something out of the 50's. We have a town like that near here.

Sort of reminds me or Princeton, New Jersey.

Michael, spoke to my friend, he says he lives on the other side of Brentwood, and I can't remember what the name of the town was...Fair something?
