A house warming for a client!

I recieved a call on Wed.  It was from the Mom of my client who just closed on thier home a few weeks ago.  She said she had heard nothing but good on how things went and she was throwing a housewarming party, (a surprise) and asked if I could be there.

This afternoon, although, we did have some other plans, My wife and I did make an appearance.  My clients were blown away that I would show up.  I was introduced as THE Realtor to use.  I shrugged it off and it wasn't long before I was talking Real Estate with 3 guys of the family, a neighbor soon joined in and I walked our with 5 names of future clients.

Most of these are weekend homes they will be looking for.  (Right up my alley).  When we left...Mom thanked us for coming and handed me an envelope.  An unrestricted amount for Dinner at Red Lobster where she is the manager.  HMMM, I think I must have done something right!

I know agents that host the housewarming for their clients!  Imagine, having the mailing list with contact information?  They rsvp to you, not the homeowner.  Could be a terrific opportunity for new business!
