By the way, about those little plastic thermometers that come with the turkeys; the one on our turkey this year was stuck closed.
Once I took the turkey out of the oven and went to take out the plastic thermometer, it popped!
Good thing I put my own separate/dependable thermometer in there too.

I cooked at my daughters apartment, she didn't have a thermometer or baster or carving nice. It was almost like camping.

Funny..seems those plastic thermometers that come with the turkeys,never work for me either.
Never trust the pop up thermometer; with turkey, it's better to be sure and use a meat thermometer. But, as in your picture, they might be effective for sunbathing.

Too cute, thanks for the giggle. I'll ask my daughter-in-law about her turkey, she said it took an extra 2 hours, maybe her's was stuck too! Maybe that's some kind of metaphor for others, being stuck and no back-up???

that is my turkey..the one i sent my husband to the store to buy and he didn't come back with it, he came back with a generic turkey.
