I wasn't so sure I was thankful that my kids introduced me to MySpace a few years ago. It really turned me off to social networking for some time - too 'social' for me. However in late August I decided to dip my toe in the pool again with a page on FaceBook. I quickly invited several of my fellow agents along with friends and family. It seemed a great blend of social and business networking.
I am fortunate to work for a very forward thinking company that made it easy for me and my fellow managers by establishing our basic profiles on other social networks, including ActiveRain. So within the last few weeks, I have worked steadily to familiarize myself with the concept of social networking and blogging. I find the posts informative and often just humorous enough to make me feel less inept at my own abilities.
I look forward to becoming comfortable enough in this cyber world to be able to encourage the agents in my office give it a try. Thank you fellow Newbies for letting me join you on your journeys.
