Do I have a screw loose?

Loose Screw

Sometimes, as in real life, a loose screw can really be a problem. Like the third screw in the picture above, a loose screw can really foul things up. In life, a loose screw can lead a disturbed student to take lives. In houses, it can lead to a roof leak. I'll take the roof leak anyday!

And like the roof leak above, a loose screw can turn one's insides black and very unhealthly.

Do something nice for a stranger today. Help them keep their screw tight!

You have a good point there. People will tell me, before an inspection, that a house or cabin has a great metal roof. Now, I agree, a professionally installed standing seam metal roof can be pretty nice. But so often you get to the site and find something like in the photo....a metal roof with a zillion screws and half of them have worked out or the seal under the screw is rotted away. These just should not be on houses....barns maybe. A better place is sheds for animals. In fact, I have quite a bit of experience with such roofs, as my rabbit and duck houses both use them. And they are great for that. The animals like them and the ducks do not mind a bit of moisture. Not all metal roofs are created equal!
