Check out Buffini and Company's Working By Referral system. I've attended several other training seminars, and their program appealed to me the most. It seems to be the kindest, gentlest and most effective method to build a network of friends, associates and clients who will remember and refer you.
Every so often, they will have training camps, one-day turning point presentations, and free introductory meetings.

Scott-there is a "Referral" link on the Active Rain homepage (not sure if that is what you are looking for). Read other people's blogs and see who you think you would like to do business with. I'm not sure, but I think there may be an Active Rain group dedicated to referrals. You can click on the Groups link at the top of the page and do a search. Best of Luck!

I've been in the rain about two years and the best way to build up a referral network in the rain is to build a great profile and then write posts about yourself, your community and your experiences in real estate and the leads will follow. It is amazing that the friends you will make here and the business will come eventually. It does take time, but others have seen business as early as 3 weeks after being the rain. (19-4)
