The place was packed. Real estate people wall to wall at Chestnut Hill Country Club for a three-hour CE seminar on Code of Ethics. Sure, it's the end of the year and agents need to get their credits. Plus, the price was right - bring hats, gloves, scarves - presents for children. Thanks to Martha Lessner for organizing this seminar.
I did not need the credits because I already took this class while at MAR in Ocean city, but it was convenient, and a break was needed from my featured post that just hit a 100 comments!
The class was sponsored by WCR(Women's Council of Realtors) and REMDA (Real Estate Million Dollar Association), and taught by Tom Drechsler who I knew from the settlement he did for my favorite young couple. After an early morning stop at Target (it opened at 8:00 and the class was at 8:30...no problem) for the admission items, I joined the crowd.
There were agents from all over including some from my former Floyd Wickman mentor group: Amy Ruth-Remax and Barb Fiertag-Keller Williams, and a number of agents from my former Coldwell Banker company.
As I was waiting for my CE certificate, someone called my name and said,
"You commented on my Active Rain post." Yes, it was Aaron Rice-Keller Williams. A fellow Active Rainer from Baltimore?
Of course, I commented! I asked if he was going to do a post - he hadn't thought about that. So I handed my camera to someone who snapped this photo of Aaron and me. I had taken one of Tom during the session,
and voila - we have a short Active Rain post!
