Did you know that just about 20 miles to the west and across the Missouri River and over the Blanchette Bridge there is the city of St Charles MO. This is a wonderful city with some deep historical roots that reach back to the forging of the United States.
Just follow the cobblestones of Main St. past local shops and restaurants to the site of the first state capital of Missouri. From 1821 to 1826 St Charles served as the capital of Missouri.
St Charles is also known as the launching point of Lewis and Clark's expedition to the Pacific and as the home of Daniel Boone.
