Yes, folks, this is the same room. Gloria Home Staging, Inc. in Winter Springs, FL transformed this teenager’s bedroom into a home office. Quite a difference, if I do say so myself!

Wow, what a beautiful difference! The drapery you used is really pretty, what material is that and where did you find them, if you don't mind telling. It looks wonderful and I like the closest door treatment too!

Robyn - I'm glad you like it! The draperies are burgundy velveteen with a gold lacey material on the top. We got them at either Bed, Bath & Beyond or Linens n' Things. I'm afraid it was L n'T :-( R.I.P. The old closet door was a cheap bifold, and we just couldn't bring ourselves to put it back. The drapes make a huge improvement!

Wow, Laurie. That transformation is truly amazing. It is hard to believe it is the same room. Beautiful job! After seeing this room I'm curious to see what the rest of the house looks like.

Diana & Maureen - In the spirit of full disclosure, this is my partner Susan's home, and this particular room is our office. It doesn't look like this at the moment, though, being filled with inventory and furniture for a job we're working on. The rest of the house is beautiful. I'll see if I can get her to post some pictures (or let me do it for her - I'm the Rainer of the two of us). We really are thrilled with how nice it looks (when it's not full of inventory and other people's furniture...). At first we weren't sure about the wall color, but the drapes just make it click, and the fan was a huge improvement. (For starters, the other one was broken -- not fun in Florida in the summer!) I'm so pleased you enjoyed it!
Michelle - Thanks for the encouragement! It is truly a pleasant room.

Really really fabulous job!! I think that so many potential buyers would run, not walk from that first room..... not so with the second one. Definately great photos for the portfolio book!

This is a prime example of why you need a professional home stager to highlight the features of a room. Well done!

Donna - Before, the room almost gave me hives. Now I love being in it! Thanks!
Fernando - The teenager was going for drama when he came up with the idea for the paint, and he certainly created it! Not my kind of drama... Thanks for the kind words!
Melissa - Everyone in the family ran from that room before! It's one of our favorite transformations in our portfolio. I'm glad you enjoy it too!
Michelle - Yeah. We professionals aren't afraid to go into rooms like this and tame them. Kids, don't try this at home! Thanks for stopping by!

Margaret - I get such pleasure from this room now, I'm glad to share it with you! Maybe it will look like this again soon, after the extra furniture that's in it now goes to its forever home. We'll have to re-stage it, and get the joy of transformation all over again.
Joyce - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
