Upgrade Your Septic System at No Cost!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX 100

There is a new program sponsored by the Maryland Department of the Environment's Bay Restoration Fund that will allow homeowners to upgrade their septic system to the most current technology that allows for maximum nitrogen reduction.  Requirements are

  • filling out the application, and
  • following procedures to secure funding for installation.

Once approved, homeowners will receive a check from the Comptrollers Office that covers the entire cost (100%) as well as maintenance for 5 years.  Call 1-800-633-6101 ext 4195 for more information and a free consultation.

Wow!  What a deal.  Makes me wish I had a septic system. :-)

I guess the secure fund part of it doesn't mean you have to go to a bank or some place to get the money...por does it?

Mike - your best bet is to call the information number and see what they tell you.  There has been some new legislation come out on the septic issue since I posted this blog in 2008.  There may be assistance if you are replacing an existing system, again, call 1-800-633-6101, ext. 4195 for more information.  Good luck with your septic :-).
