SELLERS: MAKE SURE your listing agent/broker is using a Pro Photographer!
Case in point: Realtor.com, MetrolistMLS and The new Luxury Home Magazine feature some of the worst photographs of Real Estate I have ever seen.
I spent the entire week combing through these websites and the new issue of LHM and it is quite clear now that a gargantuan percentage of listing agents and brokers are representing your home for sale with crap snapshots - crooked, incorrect white balance, lens distortion and poor lighting.
As a professional photographer I can assure you that amateur snapshots do NOT "Best Represent" your listing or better your chances of finding you a buyer!
Even the cover of the new LHM (Issue 4.6) is crooked (it needs to rotate clockwise), and the white balance is too warm (orange), and nearly every ad within this issue (except my photography, 'natch) is terrible amateur grade snapshot quality. If I were a seller I'd be furious.
Shame on those Realtors for poorly representing a clients million dollar-plus investment - I'd name names but the list is simply too long.
Thanks to Brokers Nick Sadek, Jennifer Teie, Valisa Schmidley and Kelly Richardson for having the fortitude and vison to understand what it means to provide "Exceptional Representation" to their clients.
