I have never used an outside business to gain business. Most all my business has come by referral. Has anyone had sucess with using one of those businesses you sign up with and you either pay for the referrals or you only pay if you close on a house? I would love to hear that they are sucessful.

Joni, I actually paid one once for a little while and while they did send me "referrals" not a single one ever panned out. I think of them more as a scam. Now I may be wrong and there may actually be some good ones.

Joni, I have tried 2 of them, and didn't get any qualified leads. One of them, lending tree.com, I almost had to sue to get my money back after they made false promises, it was over $1,000.
