HOW EASY IS IT TO DEAL WITH LISTING AGENTS HANDLING FORECLOSURES?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Professionals

While I am a listing agent to a financial institution, I continue to work with buyers and often times I find that in my experience it has been really difficult to deal with some of the new REO agent, from making sure that my offer gets presented accordingly to the simple and most basic things about our Real Estate business, sometimes is even hard to get them to send me the right contract. Not to mention that lots of them will not even turn on the utilities to perform basic inspections, I have found myself having to set up the power on someone else's listing so that the contract will not fall apart.

How easy has it been for you?

I would love to tell you that it was just a local problem, but we are seeing the same thing everywhere. We just had this discussion in our business building meeting on Thursday talking about how we can't get the utilities on for inspections and that we are having to write our contracts stating that the inspection period shall begin on the day all utilities have been turned on.

It should have to be this way, once you have an accepted contract it should be logic to get the utilities turned on so you can get the property to close, but maybe we are wrong on this one.

Welcome to the rain and hope to see you around more often!
