County Fair Grounds

Alexandria has the Douglas County Fairgrounds which hosts racing, 2 hockey arenas, a County Fair and more. Douglas County Fairgrounds also has a camping area. The Minnesota Senate passed this week Senate File 1432, a bill to help increase
revenues for county fairs. Senate File 1432 will allow county fairs to
decrease the size of individual campsites, thus allowing more campers and
increased revenue for the fair.  The change in campground size is
identical to that of the current state fair exemption to the same health
codes.
