I’ll never forget when I got the first telephone call from Casey. She was living across country with her husband and had a home in Oklahoma City that they had been renting out for 5 years. I could hear the stress in her voice. I told her I would go look at the home and call her back with an idea of what the house would sell for.
The home was in a gorgeous historic district of Oklahoma City. It had been neglected over the years and had never really had new life breathed into it. I explained to Casey that she had two options. 1. Sell the home the way it was for a much reduced price. 2. Put some time and money into it for a substantial increase in return. I explained to her that we could help her during the process. All she had to do was put faith in us and we would assist her in making top dollar.
She went to her bank the following day and took out a signature loan in the amount of $5,000. She believed in what we had to say and trusted that we could do what we said we would do.
Over the following couple of months, while the Sellers were a thousand miles away, we assisted them with the selection of contractors and helped them with the implementation of Our Vision. The home underwent paining, tile work, electrical work, appliances, wood floor restoration, and much more.
Of course, once the work was complete, we sent in our Interior Designer for a full home staging makeover. We brought in furniture, draperies, tons of accessories and plenty of color. The house was now absolutely amazing!
At the closing, the Sellers cried and could not believe the assistance we gave them during the project. They never imagined there could be a Team of people who would give so much of themselves. The Sellers took home an additional $30,000 because of the work that had been done. We were able to give them a fresh start that otherwise they would not have ever seen.
