Get your office motivated with a "Poker Run"!!

I have been at the Keller Williams office in Waco since the end of September. And here's one reason I LOVE IT. On Wednesday mornings we have an office meeting. Afterwards, most weeks we go on a listing tour to check out the new listings that have come into the office.

But sometimes they do a Poker Run. Here's how it works. You get a tour of five listings. Each person pays to get in on the tour, in our case $5. You caravan to the homes and at each one you get a regular playing card. At the last house you can buy new  cards for $1 each to try to make a better poker hand. The person with the best hand wins half the pot. The other half is put in our KW Cares charity fund.

They had just done one the week before I joined. They did another one a couple of weeks ago. We raised $160 (I think). But it is so much fun, and is a great way to get people in your office to get involved! Sometimes it is hard to get people to come into the office for meetings, but when we have a poker run we have a great turnout.

Before trying it at your office though, I suggest checking your states gambling regulations!

Sounds like a fun way to get more participation.  I;m one that often skips the office meetings, that could just me there!

Whats the charity fund?  Is it an office fund or does it go to a National fund (Just Curious).

Chad,

I am not real sure. I think it all stays local.

I was just curious, I like local charities, but either way, I still like the Poker Run concept, it's a great idea!

Sounds like a neat concept but it still would not get me up and out that early.  Good luck on winning one.
