Ok Jo you have really got me scratching my head on this one? It looks like an iceberg?

Looks like a rough iceberg. I would say it is a little out of place.

Bill, it is an "ice-burg" lol!  This is a piece that came off the Whittier Glacier near Whittier, Alaska.  It is on the west side of Price William Sound. We drove up there to go thru the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel

Steve, Just up the road is the huge Glacier - I found these small pieces so fascinating! I am one of those "honey stop the car" to take a photo kind of people.

This is pretty cool - in Tennessee, we don't have icebergs - thanks for sharing

I heard about dem dare Ice Bergs...but heck in Texas we dun't get anything like that!

Seriously though, that is pretty cool.  Supposed to SNOW here today which means the collective I.Q. in the area will drop by about 60% even though the SNOW won't stay more than an hour...if that!

Todd, Can you imagine the "KIRO Storm Tracker" report if we did! lol!

Ron, I was listening to your weather this morning - wasn't it like in the 60's yesterday?

GREAT picture, Jo.  We spent several days just down the road from the visitors center this summer.  I'm gonna show my age a little, but I can remember when the visitors center was nose to nose with a wall of ice.  Now, of course, you have to take a boat around to see the glacier... unless, like here, they come to you! :)

Hi Jo... Hmmm!  The iceberg, the rocky shoreline and the interesting building all make for a very interesting picture!

Gosh, I so apologize -

Ginger, Well I think I live on a Glacier right now! lol!

Cynthia, it was fun seeing!

Thesa, I love to stop the car for photos!

Alisah, I am so grateful that I have been able to spend time there - we have on year left so I will probably do 3 more trips. It will be sad to leave.

Jesse, showing age is a cool thing in my book :)

Steve, It was a really fun day!
