Our beautiful white sand beaches are looking good again. Sand-renourishment projects on Pensacola and Navarre beaches have been completed. The entire 8.2 miles of Pensacola Beach, a $14.3 million project completed in April pumped in 3.5 million cubic yards of sand.
Although many residents feel that the beach owners should be paying additional monies for all the renourishment we have had to perform in the past few years, without the sand and vegetation, we would have NO BEACH. Without the beach, we would have limited tourism dollars pumped into our community.
Pensacola Beach is very unique because the entire beach is open to the community and visitors. Yes, there are condos and homes right on the water, but an evening stroll at sunset could be many miles up and down the beach. I invite you to visit our beautiful Pensacola Beach.
