Cats...Who Needs Them Anyway?!!!

Cats….who needs them anyway!

That’s what I thought until I rescued Scratch from my local animal shelter. He turned out to be one of the best pets I’ve ever had. And this is coming from a dog guy!

Scratch has been a faithful companion to my little girl, Laura, and me throughout the years. We’ve enjoyed him so much that we decided to rescue another cat, Snowy, from the same animal shelter.

Together they have provided us with lots of laughs and friendship throughout the years.

Last night we were looking at some pictures of Scratch and Snowy and then while surfing the Internet we came across this hysterical YouTube video:

An Engineer’s Guide To Cats.

With a huge population of engineers in the Unites States, and especially here in the Raleigh/ Cary/Apex area, I’m certain you’ll be able to associate the characters in this video to one of them!

Bill - You taught your daughter well! I've never owned a pet that wasn't rescued from a shelter. My sister though takes it one step further....She only adopts pets from shelters that have some sort of issue. One is missing a leg (Tippy), one is mising an ear (Van Gogh) and one has breathing problems (Wheezer)!!!

Lorrie - Since the disclaimer was that none of the cats (or engineers!) were harmed during the making of that video, we decided to give the yodeling effect a try on our cats......It works!!!!

Angelia - So glad to have brought a smile to your day. My work is done here! Come back tomorrow if you need another reason to smile!

Bill - Similar to your Cougar story, when I adopted Scratch, he kind of adopted me. He was the only one of the bunch who came right up to me and decided he wanted my attention. He was incredibly friendly and it seemed he knew he wanted to get out of that place!

Craig, I like you even more now that I know you are a cat person.  I think you know that I have 5 cats (8 years of working as a vet. nurse).  We have "Pugsly" who is very mean (except to us) and should be on kitty prozac.  we also have a dog who likes to torment the cats, which provides hours of endless entertainment for us.  Thanks for sharing the video, I am still laughing.

I Just had to send you another picture of Ruby....she is such a sun girl and loves to lay in front of the sliding glass doors and get a tan every afternoon. I think you should ask everyone to post their favorite pic of heir feline friends. Good idea, right???
