So you have joined the ActiveRain network and started blogging, but do you know how to track of your blog and make it easy for readers to subscribe? These mysteries are easily solved with the help of a free service called FeedBurner. FeedBurner is a Google-owned company that specializes in helping bloggers like you "get more value from the content they create." They achieve this by offering a valuable set of feed management tools.
FeedBurner: Easily Have Readers Subscribe to Your Blog By Email
As you know, your ActiveRain blog features a little button called "Subscribe to Blog." With FeedBurner's "Email Subscription" you will receive HTML code that you can insert into your website and your email. This code will create a subscription link or form (depending on which on wether you use the form code or link code) that enables readers to easily subscribe to your blog by email. Your new posts will be delivered to your subscriber's email instead of their RSS reader.
Note: When you add this code to your template-driven real estate website, make sure you are in the HTML mode and not the WYSISYG mode.
FeedBurner: Easily Track Your Blog
When you log into your FeedBurner account, you will be able to instantly see your statistics, which include summary and detailed information about visitors and pages. You will be able to find out where your readers and subscribers came from (directly to your blog, or through searches and other sites) and which content they looked at. This is very valuable feedback ... and again, it is free of charge.
