The holiday season in Suffield is perhaps the most beautiful time of the year! Just stroll or drive down Main Street and delight in all the gracious homes dressed in their holiday finery and twinkling lights. This time of the year in Suffield looks just like something out of a story book! Last weekend both the Hatheway-Phelps House and the King House Museum opened their doors to welcome everyone into the warmth of the holidays with gorgeous decorations and trees donated by Suffield residents and businesses. Suffield's own Martha Stewart, Jean Matejek had the most stunning tree I've ever seen -- a bared-of needles tree, spray-painted white adorned with all-white lights and ornaments. Truly lovely! This weekend, check out the Christmas trees offered by Suffield's Christmas tree farmers around town. You won't be disappointed by the pricing and fresh-cut trees available. Don't forget to attend the Holiday Concert at the Second Baptist Church on Main Street, either. Multiple talents will perform at 4:00, and this is a Suffield tradition you'll be sure to cherish this Saturday and years to come. The economy may be down, but you can surely lift your spirits and delight in Suffield's many holiday happenings. By the way, I'd love to hear from you and see you around town!

Sally, you should go to one of these events and take some pictures and come back with a slide show for us to see. I think there is a reason that your part of the country is featured in so many Christmas movies!
Welcome to the rain and look forward to that photo slideshow.
