What is this stuff? Mississippi is known for it's heat and humidity....but this what today looks like and just in time for the holidays! We rarely have winter weather here in Rankin County, Mississippi, but when we do it is great! The snow is beautiful and children are already outside making snowballs and snowmen! What a rare treat this holiday season. We have so much to be thankful for........even a little winter weather!
Global warming seems to have pushed the cold weather further south and, in the southern hemisphere, pushed the warm weather further south. We got hit bad here, too, with the snow and cold.
I remembered on year, driving through Mississippi, from Dallas back to Florida, and ran into some snow. Since there were no snow plows, drivers had to be very careful driving on I-10. But gosh, as unique as this scene was, it was exciting. And folks who have never seen snow before, were fascinated. And so were we.
Living in Lake Norman NC I know what you mean. While all of our poor friends up North have been pounded with snow, we feel lucky if we get any. Enjoy!
Linda... I can tell you when I lived in Mississippi we didn't see much snow at all. When that precious inch or so fell every four or five years we thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread! Of course, unlike our Alaskan snow, the stuff that fell in Mississippi was gone in an instant. :)
Jesse & Kathy: The weather has been unusual this year in Mississippi! We had 3 inches at my home and it took 4 days to finally melt. It was nice......
It looks great. I know it's rare but it is very pretty. Have a great year.
