How we can help the American Economy, one house at a time...

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Alliance

I was reading some more depressing drivel in the national press, and got to thinking ( i know, that's an oxymoron for a Realtor)

Well, those of us in the Real Estate industry should be proud, we are on the front lines of helping to get the American (and world) economy moving...

It's commonly accepted that the housing industry is one of the key underpinnings of our economy.   When housing falters, so does everything else.  In addition, empty homes do no one any good.

Here are some of the benefits of helping owners and investor buy empty bank owned and foreclosed properties:

Taxes are paid

Crime is reduced

Neighborhoods are stabilized

Quality of life improves

Housing is provided for renters & foreclosure victims

Real estate commissions are generated

Title, Insurance, County revenues are generated

Rehab/Construction labor and material is brought into play

Communities are strengthened and developed

And many more, please feel free to add to the list!

So come on folks, get out there and sell an empty house today!  You are doing your part for the National economy, and yours as well.

Hey there ROB!

I surround myself with positive people such as yourself!  One thing I would add to your blog would be the "pride of ownership" factor!  Many times people who rent, don't quite take care of the lawn as well, dont' keep up with painting, garbage is sloppy etc...etc..etc..;;;  Anyway, pride of ownership helps everyone!  1st impressions being what they are, I am sure it is MUCH easier for you to sell a home when the first time the buyer drives down the street, they dont see trash, and unkept houses & yards!  Pride of ownership shines quite nicely with 1st time home buyers!  THEY DONT WANT TO RENT, so they show the neighborhood they belong!

Net result is values stay up, and pride is contagious, just like negativity!

Keep it up!

happy selling!
