Wow, that is horrible! Why wont people help to clean the environment? That was such a sad photo... That's definitely not considered to be a "day at the beach"!
That is awful I hope that is not the United States. I am guessing that is Mexico
This "beach" is on the fringe of a very poor barrio in the Dominican Republic. The homes have no water, sanitation, the people are mostly unemployed and there is no public trash collection like in the states. There is literally no place to put the trash. It is very sad and a reminder of how good our lives are here and I hope an encouragement to give to others in need. Kelly
That is sad that dumping is still just wherever is away from the people's living spaces.
Thanks for commenting on my post about the needs here in the US and the problems the food banks are having. This kind of puts that in a different perspective.
Wow Kelly, We should all be thankful for what we have. Such a strong photo. This photo makes me think of all that I have and the ones that unfortunate.
