What type of services does your local MLS provide you as an agent. Did you know that MLS's are for profit? Just curious to hear what types of services your recieve for your membership.

They are getting much better here, but still have a way to go.  They are improving our system daily and I am excited to see what they have instore for this year.  I belong to MRIS in Maryland...

I talk a little about that in my newest blog post (kathyjudyrealtor).  I like the fact that ours covers a huge area of Idaho.  I don't like the fact that it is owned and controlled by the Ada County Association Of Realtors.

Great topic, Mike!  Good think I didn't see this post a while back.  We used to have a crummy MLS but now it's pretty good.  It's moved to a web-based system so accessible from anywhere, they have a mobile version, very intuitive and they force users to submit listing photos.
