DRUM ROLL PLEASE!

  • Tip #14 - Set Your Internet Goals for 2009

How does that saying go?  We don't plan to fail, but we will if we fail to plan?  Something like that!  The Internet is such a huge part of the real estate industry now, that it's a huge oversite to not set specific goals pertaining to your Internet results.  Once you identify those goals, then you can create a plan of action (with your Real Estate VA of course ;-) to achieve those goals.  Here is a list of what some goals are that you could set for yourself in 2009:

    1. Capture XXX leads via your website.
    2. Increase monthly website visitors to XXX.
    3. Post a new blog entry every week (or day if you're really disciplined!).
    4. Update your website content at least once per month.
    5. Update listings on website within 24 hours of changes.
    6. Update profile on social networking platforms at least once per month.
    7. Participate on social platforms at least once per week.

Now, some of these goals, it is really helpful to know what your numbers are now...but if you don't know that figure, please don't let that stop you...just keep pushing ahead to your goal for 2009!

  • Tipsy #14 - Cranberry Almond Mimosas

I don't know if any almond champagne is better than any other (I usually use Wilson Creek), but as with all alcohols, I say buy the best you can find!  I also like to use pure cranberry juice, not cocktail...and you will definitely need to adjust your ratio of juice to champagne to your own particular taste buds, but this is the way that I like it.  Pour about 1/4 of the champagne flute filled with the pure cranberry juice and then fill the rest of the way with the almond champagne.  Garnish with a couple beautiful fresh raspberries.  This drink feels very indulgent, but isn't too bad for you :-)  [Note:  I don't like super sweet drinks, so if this just isn't sweet enough for you, go ahead and switch to sweetened cranberry juice...it's the holidays after all!]

    • Almond Champagne
    • Pure Cranberry Juice
    • Fresh Raspberries, for garnish

Nice post.  Leads are a matter of results from hits....thus the main goal is to get your website out to "x" amount of other websites, podcast sites etc....  I jumped to 100 last year...and am staying at the for 09 in lieu of cutting back.

Tim - Thanks for the comment and stopping by...leads aren't only a matter of results from hits though...your content might mean one thing to a search engine (to get you the hit), but yet another thing to a potential customer / client (to make them want to give you that lead) - your job is find a balance and be what they both are looking for - then your leads will truly go up :-)

Blogging every day I think is critical, as it gets one in a routine, and routines are hard to break once they become established.  I'll be curious 15 years from now, what the point totals will look like and even more importantly, what the technology will look like to capture everything.
