I noticed Hugh Krone asked for a post about the True Meaning of Christmas so I thought I would share what that means to me.
My faith as evolved over the years. I knew Santa before I knew Jesus is the best way to put it. I am cool with Santa and hopefully I get whats on me Christmas list, but I have come to know Jesus as the reason for the season.
As I read about how Jesus lived his life and then compare it to how that has been presented to me over the years I am thankful that I have found the desire to seek Him on my own.
Jesus came to restore what was lost, broken and forgotten about. Knowing he did that I glad receive the free gift. Certainly we all have felt broken, forgotten or even lost at times. Sometimes life hasn't gone the way we hoped. Perhaps a loved one died, or left you or hurt you. For others there have been health issues, financial issues or emotional issues. I am sure this list could be expanded.
The good news though is that if you receive Jesus gift of Forgiveness these "trials" in our lives turn into triumph! He overcame everything on the cross. And we over come the world by his blood and the WORD of the testimony.
Each of us have a testimony to share. Often that "gift" of a testimony comes out of "not so good" circumstance. So don't get down or stay down about your "trials" instead rejoice in the gift of "new life" and remember the Christmas celebration as a sign of NEW LIFE because of the birth of Jesus.
Hopefully this years celebration will bring a great gift to you. Perhaps HEALTH for you or a loved one. Maybe restored HOPE or restored RELATIONSHIPS. Think of any gift of MONEY as a sign of your prosperity for the new year! Give thanks for everyone and everything! Appreciate everyone for WHO they are and WHOSE they are! Let them feel the love of Christ in you!
