I think I'm guilty of something serious - over-availability! Any day at any time you or anyone else in the world can contact me. The phone number, the e-mail address, URLs, all that stuff has my details right there. "Call me," It begs. Is this every realtor? Do  I throw out business cards like a fool and his money, I post on Facebook, Myspace, it's attached to every e-mail I send, I TWITTER! I  In fact: Here's a list...

Can we be available too much?  Probably not for those who appreciate us and see the value of hiring a professional.  For those who put no value on our professional services and want us to work for free....please don't contact me..

I don't think you can ever be out there TOO much. However, I wouldn't be overbearing in constantly reminding everyone you know you sell real estate. But I think web exposure is a good thing and there are some more free sites for Realtors out there. Good luck in 2009.

Kristin - I know! That's on top of hanging out in one of the local coffeehouses talking real estate with the owner and meeting others. That seems to be more effective - years ago in real estate school the teacher said "Get out amongst em." That was actually her only advice in the marketing section. I don't think she blogs...

Mark - I don't think too much availability is really that bad - well, until one of my tenants calls at 10:29 p.m. telling me she needs a new air filter. I love selling houses, I love TALKING to people, I just get amazed when thinking about all the time I've spent on-line. Speaking of that, I really need to update my podcast!

David - I got onto Point2Agent when it was free - it has been a great resource. Worth paying for!

Wow Sandy! I actually have a few of those, didn't even think about it!

The I'm All Over Town photoblog is really just a link to my Flickr site.

I'm linked in too, hadn't thought of Trulia or Delicio.us. I know I've posted listings on Trulia and Zillow, haven't found much response yet.

YOUTUBE! What a great idea! I have posted up some videos, none real estate related.

This blogging actually has some value! I'm learning!!!

Good to see you got the first post out of the way, Rob.

You might want to go back into the post and convert all those into actual links for the Google Juice Active Rain provides.

I don't think you can be out there too much in order to get people to call.

You just have to pick and choose when you're actually "available" to take care of them.  Sometimes family is more important, sometimes providing for the family is more important.  Just gotta choose on each situation and go with it.
