I recently had the pleasure of spending the afternoon at Santo Thomas, a beautiful, quiet development, about an hour south of Puerto Penasco. The homes were gorgeous and very well priced. The beach was spotless clean, except for some great seashells. But the highlight was watching the dolphins at play for most of the afternoon.
It's hard to guess how many there were, 5 - 10 perhaps. They were swimming and leaping very close to shore. For me it was very exciting, and if the water had only been a few degrees warmer, I'm sure I'd have gone in for a swim.
I really only like very warm water, so had to satisfy myself with pictures. Snap, snap, snap. I couldn't wait to see my pictures, perhaps even display them here. Well I only have a normal digital camera, and dolphins jump quick. I got home and had dozens of pictures of calm, empty water. I tried, I really did. I guess If you want pictures of dolphins jumping, the trick is to click your camera when there's nothing there, and hope they jump as your camera takes the picture.
Anyway, please enjoy my best shot of dolphins jumping at Santo Thomas!
