Holiday Helper.....Do You Think Of The Next Person!!!

Lets start by saying that Christmas Sucks this year. I know, I know, it's only what you make it. Here is something for you to think about while your beating yourself up over not being able to buy that special gift or dreading the pain in the A$$ rushing around. Step back and take a look at those around you, some have lost their homes, jobs and most importantly a loved one. How about the kids that will wake up and have nothing on Christmas.

I always think of my own problems and it's like this is too much stuff for me. I then stop and take a look at my brother. He lost his 23 year old son the day after Thanksgiving a year ago. My problems are nothing compared to those others have, especially losing a loved one. I will take my problems over that any day.

So to conclude, when you feel like a complete turd think there is always some one out there worse off then you. Compared to others I'm on top of the world.

To all HAVE A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY.............

Scott- I'll be saying a prayer for your brother his family.  And I really have to disagree with you about this Christmas sucking...

The economy slump was the best thing that could have happened to me personally to make me really reflect on what Christmas is supposed to be about.  Our Christmas will be about going to church on Christmas Eve for communion and celebrating the birth of Christ on Christmas day.

I know there are folks with bigger problems than me and I pray for them too.  My husband went back to work yesterday after more than 3 months out of work, so I believe in prayer.

Scott, a couple of days before Christmas I had the dreaded list of places to stop and pick something up at, drop something off and of course the market. Ihad the dog with me and kept telling her to remind me that life was good, not to get made at the crazies in the parking lot... You know, the standard preChristmas stress.

Inside the market was chaos. I grabbed a number at the Meat/Fish counter and wandered around while waiting for 114 to pop up. I was back at Fish by 110 and waited patiently. Someone finally told me that the numbers were just for Meat not Fish. Hmmm. I waited. Finally got my Fish. I looked over and saw this lady get her number and look at it. She really lookded beat. I asked her what it was, 126. They were at 113 at this point. I gave her mine and wished her a Merry Christmas. It was such a good feeling.

This is minor compared to loosing a child. My heart breaks for your brothers' family. God Bless you all. Let's make this a great 2009!

Scott ~ I was just having the conversation with my husband this morning.  I told him that his attitude would reflect his alltitude.  Sounds like you have a great attitude.  Hope you had a blessed Christmas.
