Real Estate in Southwest Wisconsin

By

My experience with buyers and sellers lately is that there is a lot of interest in the real estate market, but that people lack confidence in the market. THERE IS NO NATIONAL REAL ESTATE MARKET, and if it looks like I'm shouting, I am! The local real estate markets are active, and homes ARE selling. But  the market has changed from 1-2 years ago. Heck, it's even changed from 6 months ago! Sales have always been relatively stable in this region, and we have foreclosures and short sales just like everybody else. However, as one of the bankers I know in Dodgeville said, "We've always been pretty conservative, and our customers pay their bills, so we're ok." Why isn't anybody interviewing HIM and putting HIM on tv, radio & other press releases? Because it's not a headline grabber?

We all need to take a deep breath and wipe our slates clean; this is not as bad as you read or see on CNN.

You are correct.  For some reason a lot of people love doom and gloom.  Time for these people to turn off the idiot box.

Thank you for the post.
