WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ORDER OF IMPORTANCE!!!

Mortgage and Lending with AMERICAN AFFORDABLE HOMES

To any readers of this post I am just wondering out of the main headline agenda's which is more important to you and why? Here are some of the main goals for the new administration:

  1. Mortgage reform/ lending reform
  2. Recession bailouts
  3. Improved public schools
  4. Building a more green economy
  5. Bring an end to the war in Iraq and troop removal
  6. Gay rights
  7. Restoring civil liberties
  8. Holding the Bush administration accountable
  9. Increased access to higher education
  10. Reforming elections and campaigns

This is not my order of importance but a list of some of the headline issues. I am wondering how would you place them as a order of importance if you had the power to have the new administration listen to you and act accordingly???

Tough yet interesting question Johnathan - here is how I would rate:  1, 2 (although Bail Out is such an ugly word) 5, 3, 4, 7. 6, 9, 10 8.

My first thought was none of the above. Then I thought that mortgage reform would be a worthy goal.  Then it hit me that government "reform" and regulation of the mortgage industry was largely responsible for the problems we have now.

All areas have much room for improvement, and I'll be pleased if positive changes occur in most of them.  The new administration certainly faces many difficult challenges.

Jonathan,

An interesting set of questions.

As a Baby Boomer, I would like to see less government involvement in almost everything.  I think that it's the governments doing (Clinton or Bush- you choose) that caused the real estate problem agents like you and I find ourselves in. A home for everyone is a great ideal - just not realistic!

Other then that, I would have to say "Green Issues". It's my favorite color.
