I'm gonna toot my own horn here. I recently applied for a scholarship through Louisiana Realtors. The scholarship was open to applicants from all over the state. I worked hard to present a good application and to show my professionalism. And today I found out that I was awarded the scholarship to achieve my GRI. It's an intensive certification course that requires 96 hours of instruction. I had already taken a couple of courses on my own. Now, I have the benefit of the scholarship to nudge me on to the finish line for my GRI (Graduate of the REALTOR Institute). The scholarship is a memorial to Sandy Lash, a long time, hard working member of the Louisiana Realtors who recently broke many hearts when she passed. I am proud to have been awarded this scholarship in the first year that it's available.
This is the last year that I'll be "Bridget Fredericks, ABR, ePRO, REALTOR", because by the end of 2009 I'll be "Bridget Fredericks, ABR, GRI, ePRO, REALTOR". One more certification toward my alphabet soup of expertise!
I know it's tooting my own horn, but hey, it's my Blog so I get to do that! I wish a Happy and Productive 2009 to everyone who read this post!
