Challenging market makes Brokers services more valueable.

"There is nothing new  under the sun". All over America the real estate market is challenged by the mood of the consumer. We have the lower consumer confinence seen in many years. Why not? All you seem to hear about is pending disaster, bailouts and job loss. It is no longer just enough to put your home or commercial property in MLS and Craigslist and wait for the offers to pour in.

This is a market where the true professional Realtor provides the skill to navigate the often frustrating climate of negativity which pervades people's minds.

There is always a need for real estate transactions. Folks are going to have babies, get married, grow older and have changing needs whether there is a recession or not.

My experience began in this business working for a broker who started in the mortgage business in 1934.

To qualify for the first FHA loans a borrower had to be in default of their mortage for at least a year! Home values remained basically unchanged during the great depression. The foreclosure bubble has begun to shrink in the Colorado market.   With the falling price of oil and the recovery of the stock market, people will again to believe in the future.
