Why Men Marry Some Women and Not Others... book meme

My friend Bo Kociuba of Yukon, Oklahoma has tagged me for a book MeME.

Please don't get the wrong idea. I am very happily married. And I have not actually read this book.  But since there was no book near me I went over to my bookcase and took out the one nearest eye level that caught my eye.  This is a book my daughter was reading.  Don't know if she finished it; she is still unattached.

The title is "Why Men Marry Some Women and Not Others" by John T. Molloy.

page 56 after the 5th sentence reads:

"They recommended that when a woman finds herself working in a position where meeting eligible men is next to impossible, she should look at the possibility of changing jobs, but if that isn't possible, she must adjust her work schedule to increase her chances of meeting men.  You not only have to go where men are, but you have to go when they are there."

If I were single and husband-hunting, I would probably be tempted to read this book. ;-)

This is my third book MeME.  My first book was "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent." The second book was "Farewell to Manzanar," a book that I love. I hope someone was inspired to read it.

Since I know all of you are busy with Christmas or other shopping, I won't tag anyone.

I guess it might be true, but it sounds soooooooooooooo sexist. It makes it sound like the woman is desperate. Why not this:

They recommended that when a man finds himself working in a position where meeting eligible women is next to impossible, he should look at the possibility of changing jobs, but if that isn't possible, he must adjust his work schedule to increase his chances of meeting women.  You not only have to go where women are, but you have to go when they are there.

I am here to take up for your daughter.  I was single for most of my 20's and my mother always wondered why.  It was simple, I just kept meeting morons.  Her prince will come.

Hi Melody, She has met her fair share of morons and even married one and now she is saying "no more."  Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Russel, You could apply it to meeting men or meeting women.  You could also apply it to other situations, like jobs.  "You have to go where jobs are.  If there no or few jobs where you live, move to a place where there are job opportunities." etc.
