Timing the Market

This Graphic is a re-post from the Keller Williams library.  I use to illustrate what should be obvious, but isn't.  It is not possible to accurately time the bottom of the market.  While many of us wish we could, the fact remains, that if we could time any market (real estate or stock market) we would all be rich.  

If we think of the market as having swings, like a pendulum, we can see that eventually there is an up-tick.  Our circumstance may not always allow us to wait for that uptick (if we knew for sure when it is coming) but, your Realtor can provide you with information that might show some telling trends.

Never be afraid to ask for data to help you make as informed decision as possible.  While past performance and trends are not a sure-fire indication of what's to come, you will always be better off with more knowledge than just guessing.

It matters to us as much as it matters to you.

I couldn't agree more, as I stated above, it is not always possible for us to wait on market up-ticks, but knowledge of the market is always a positive.  It can help us make and negotiate our best offer, whatever the trends are.
