Today we begin shopping for the kids! Days before Chrismas and not a gift has been secured. Hey, I've been very busy!
I have a great idea of what I want to buy and should be able to knock the whole thing out in an afternoon. The retailers are making things simple by building a mall right up the road, while a few miles the other way is a Wal Mart.
I'm not a procrastinator really. I just didn't need to do it til just now. Anyone else use my method?
I went to the mall yesterday and it took me 15 minutes to find parking on the far side of the parking lot, then it took 5 minutes to walk from my car to the mall. I was looking forward to starting my Christmas shopping, but it was so jam packed, long lines at checkout - OMG I couldn't believe the crowds - I was able to grab 1 gift and wait in line for 15 minutes to purchase - I was worn out ! I think I'll finish the rest of my Christmas Shopping at Costco where crowds are expected, but you can get everything you want in one location - I'll probably do it on Christmas Eve as I have in years past.

Hey, Randall. My method is to shop throughout the year. The period between December 26 and January 31 is when the best bargains can be found. The attic and various cabinets and closets make great 12-month storage areas.

Santa update: Local radar at the top of my chimney indicates that Santa has just passed by, once again failing to stop at my place. I don't know if Rudolph is scared of the radar thingy at the top of my chimney, or if my chimney is too skinny for Santa.
I go crazy if I don't get some of it done a bit earlier. Otherwise, there's so much wrapping and baking to do last minute as well as shopping.
