*Many readers of this blog are aware of my ardent support for Mothers Fighting For Others; a charity started by Rocky Turner (wife of Jeff Turner/Real Estate Shows).
Rocky's efforts on behalf of others will take her across the globe to Kenya, East Africa in January where she will be coordinating the education and physical provision of 10 special girls at St. Monica's Orphanage.
We're truly excited about this trip during which we hope to provide enough money for 10 YOUNG LADIES to GO TO A GOOD HIGH SCHOOL. Education changes lives! Earlier this month, I witnessed the power of Social Media for social good. During one 24 hour period on December 10th, through posts on Twitter, almost $1,700 was raised @ $10 per gift. So far, almost $8,000 has been raised toward the $9,000 goal.

Blog Post...In Search of One Authentic Self!
Being an authentic self is a full time job at anytime of the year. So much so that during the holiday season with the business of shopping, decorating and party making, I wrestle to prevent my authentic self from becoming lost in a rustle of tissue and wrapping paper.
But it is precisely this frenetic activity which compels me towards a deeper yearning for peace. The kind that comes from a quiet ease within oneself. The peace that distills the weighty concerns of day-to-day life into a tamed murmur. A stillness that allows me to hear the music which dances around within my soul.
