Are You a Poet?

By
Real Estate Agent with Taylor Properties 500436

April is National Poetry Month and the celebratiion began in earnest 11 years ago by The Academy of American Poets.npm logo at poets.org

My first attempt at celebrating this month, "free form-style", was this.

O.K., so I'm no poet.

I want to try one more time, though.

Here goes--

Spring has sprung,

The grass has ris',

I'm kicking up a notch,

In this Real Estate biz.

O.K., O.K.--Although I love to read poetry and especially appreciate the way talented writers can manipulate the English language to express themselves, I know writing poetry is not one of my strengths!  I do want to give all you AR'rs out there the opportunity to get your muse on, though.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, I need your help with completing the following--

Roses are red,

Violets are blue...

For all you budding poets, here's your chance to shine.  I'm looking forward to some creative endings to the above...

Roses are red

Violets are blue

A non poet always uses those first

two lines and I do two. : )

Roses are red

And violets are blue

I loved you more

Than you ever knew

No word's were said

You just left me blue

Walked out the door

And away you flew
